Can this device be the next iPhone?
This device may outdate the iPhone. In the fast-paced world of gadgets, Humane caught everyone's attention with its latest creation – the "AI Pin." The company is making waves with a flashy commercial, but what's the buzz all about, and can this tiny device really outshine our beloved iPhone?
This device can be the next iPhone (maybe). In the fast-paced world of gadgets, Humane caught everyone's attention with its latest creation – the "AI Pin." The company is making waves with a flashy commercial, but what's the buzz all about, and can this tiny device really outshine our beloved iPhones?

Let's take a closer look at what in the world is Humane AI Pin, its features, and whether it has the potential to be the next big thing in the tech universe.
The Legend of Humane AI Pin
Picture this: a device that claims to be the "world's first AI-powered compute device." Sounds intriguing, right? Humane's co-founder, Imran Chaudri, who was a product designer at Apple from 1995 to 2017, spills the beans, mentioning that this little wonder uses AI for understanding language and organizing your messages, emails, and calls. But, hold on – how is it any different from what our smartphones are doing already?

Cracking the Code: Is it a Smartphone Replacement or Just a Gimmick?
Now, here's the real head-scratcher – they want you to replace your smartphone with this AI Pin, and it doesn't even have a screen. Instead, you wear it on your chest, and there's this laser thingy that shows stuff on your hand. But, seriously, is it more practical than just having a regular screen? The big question remains – is the AI Pin solving a problem we didn't know we had, or is it just a cool-looking accessory? I honestly don’t know, but it’s interesting, that’s a certainty.
The Marketing Puzzle: What's the Real Story?
Good marketing is all about telling a compelling story, but does the AI Pin's narrative hit the mark? Humane paints a dreamy picture of a world where we don't need smartphones anymore. But, here's the twist – the commercial shows things you can already do on your iPhone. So, why switch to the AI Pin without a screen?
Watch for yourself.
Can it Beat the Apple Watch?
You may have already drawn similarities with the familiar face in the competition – the Apple Watch. It's been around, doing its thing pretty well. Why bother with a new gadget when you have a trusty watch on your wrist? Iman Chaudri, co-founder, talks a lot about AI power, but do we really need it when there's a perfectly good watch doing the job? But honestly, sometimes you don’t know that you actually wanted something unless you get it, so it’s early to comment.

The emphasis on language recognition and organization of notifications, messages, and calls is a parallel feature, showcasing a shared goal of enhancing user convenience. However, as both devices vie for a place on our body, the challenge lies in distinguishing their unique value propositions. Humane is definitely ahead in one sense, making your hand a screen rather than having an actual one.
What about its price and launch?
On November 16th, 2023, Humane officially announced the expected launch date to be in March 2024, starting at $699, a direct competition of Apple Watch series 9, which starts at a similar price.
Straight Talk: It's Not About the Device
Let's get one thing straight – I am not downgrading AI pin in any manner. No one has really tried it out yet, so it’s hard to guess.
The real deal here is the story they're trying to sell us. Humane wants us to believe they've created a better version of Siri and a smartphone without a screen. But do we need that? Right now, we're not so sure.
Is it the next big thing or just another tech gadget that missed the mark? Only time will tell. So, buckle up for the ride, as March is not very far.
Catch you in the next one, meanwhile, do me a favor, stay curious and happy!
I am Leaving,
